Nestled in the heart of Warwickshire, The Great Western Pub has been a local treasure since the mid-1800s. Originally established to serve travellers and workers of the Great Western Railway at the nearby Southam Road and Harbury station, our pub has retained its iconic charm for generations. Steeped in history and connected to the legacy of British engineering, we are proud to be a symbol of tradition in a modern world.

Another beautiful evening of music at the pub last night… 🎶❤️
We welcomed four new faces to join our musicians, while the pub was full of people enjoying a pint, a chat and those good old-fashioned pub vibes we love so much.
This is exactly what Monday nights are all about — music, community, conversation and a proper pub atmosphere.

As the Great Western celebrates its first year, this marks another important step in a pledge we made from the very beginning: to become far more than simply a pub, but a positive and active part of the community around us.
The charities, organisations, groups and teams we choose to support are deliberately varied — because our community is varied too.
We want the support we give to reach across the broadest possible demographic: different ages, backgrounds, interests and circumstances, while helping organisations that make a genuine difference locally.
From grassroots and inclusive sport, teamwork and opportunities for young people, to mental health awareness, community wellbeing, independent groups, charities and local support networks, we want the Great Western to play its part wherever we realistically can.
Our sponsorship of Harbury RFC and Southam RFC represents everything we admire about grassroots sport: teamwork, belonging, resilience, friendship, inclusion and community spirit.
We’re only one year old, but we’re incredibly proud of the connections already growing around the GW.
Because supporting local doesn’t just mean buying local.
